There are four ways a tsunami can be formed. By an earthquake under water, an under water landslide a volcano and an asteroid collision. they all create tsunami`s like the earthquake(the movement of plates) the volcano lets all the energy up to the surface of the ocean there for creating a tsunami. a landslide under water which is caused by a volcanic eruption or an earthquake which can cause strong water movements which can cause a tsunami, the last form is space to earth collision by asteroids when they hit the water it causes a masive wave.
